I think I can speak for everyone when I say I want the purest, most potent CBD possible.
But in an industry with few regulations and a lot of misinformation, finding such a product can be next to impossible – especially when so many companies are dishonest about how they make their extract.
Canvas Is Leading The Charge In Honesty And Purity
If you’re looking for a CBD brand that truly cares about its customers, look no further than Canvas.
In its mission to provide the most trusted hemp products on the market, Canvas exceeds industry standards with world-class manufacturing practices and laboratory analyses to ensure you get the purest, most potent product every time.
But what really sets Canvas apart from all the rest? Let’s dive in.
What You Need To Know About Canvas

Did you know most CBD products only deliver 10% of their promised potency?
That means if the bottle says 20 mg, you’re really only absorbing about 2 mg.
That’s where Canvas is different. They’ve put in the time and resources to understand not only how cannabinoids function as compounds, but also how to get them into the body in ways that your endocannabinoid system can actually benefit from and use them.
So how did they accomplish this? By taking the top delivery system methods from the traditional pharmaceutical world and applying them to the cannabinoid space for greater bioavailability .
The result is CBD that bypasses the digestive system to absorb directly into the bloodstream, retaining all its beneficial cannabinoids and giving you the potency you paid for.
2. Canvas Relief Cream relieves pain at the cellular level.
Canvas’ Relief Cream is by far the best pain relief cream I’ve ever used – bar none.
Formulated with specific ingredients like isopropyl palmitate and caprylic triglyceride that disrupt the barrier of the topmost layer of skin, this pharma-grade cream offers deep penetration of cannabinoids into painful or inflamed tissue.
What does that mean?
It means that more CBD can get to your cells where your body can actually use it.
With 500mg of pure CBD in each 2 oz jar, this luxurious cream also leaves your skin feeling clean and 100% residue-free. Not to mention it won’t stain your clothes!
In a nutshell, this stuff works fast, feels great on your skin, and has a nice, subtle smell that makes using it a joy. I can’t recommend it enough.
3. Canvas Relief Oil provides a wider range of benefits.
According to the latest research, full-spectrum CBD (CBD with all of the plant’s cannabinoids) offers the greatest health and wellness benefits, and that’s why Canvas formulated its Relief Oil with all of the plant’s cannabinoids – not just CBD.
But why is full-spectrum more effective?
Cannabinoids work together to magnify the therapeutic benefits of each cannabinoid, a phenomenon referred to as the “ entourage effect .”
And while CBD certainly offers plenty of health benefits on its own, other cannabinoids offer different health benefits for a wider range of ailments.
This means if you’re taking just CBD alone, you’re missing out.
Crafted with Colorado-grown full-spectrum hemp extract and grown under organic practices, Canvas Relief Oil offers 300 mg of CBD in each 1 oz bottle (10 mg of CBD per dropper) to support your well-being in mind and body.
But that’s not all.
Canvas Relief Oil uses similar technologies as Canvas Relief Cream, functioning almost like a topical when used properly.
If you hold Relief Oil under your tongue for 30-60 seconds, a portion of the cannabinoids is able to penetrate through the mucous membrane lining your mouth.
This makes the oil significantly more effective than other CBD oils as it changes the tension of cell membranes to facilitate absorption.
4. Canvas is vetted and verified by third-party labs.
Every Canvas product includes third-party accredited batch test results so you know exactly what you’re getting in each product you purchase.
Canvas products are tested for heavy metals, toxins, and visible microbials to ensure quality and safety.
You can also rest assured that each product has a THC concentration no greater than 0.3%, making Canvas 100% legal.
But wait, it gets better.
After robust independent testing, Canvas was recently awarded the esteemed Remedy Review Seal of Approval.
This rigorous testing included label accuracy, terpene profile, heavy metals, microbiological contaminants, pathogenic bacterial contaminants, mycotoxins, pesticides, and residual solvents.
And at the end of it all, Canvas passed with flying colors!
It’s yet another step Canvas has taken in ensuring their products are of the highest quality and completely uncompromised. See for yourself!
Lab Results Look Great
5. Canvas uses only the best ingredients and practices.
In addition to their extensive third-party lab testing, Canvas goes above and beyond when it comes to their ingredients and manufacturing practices.
The company insists on organically farmed, all-natural ingredients without any chemicals, fillers, or artificial colors or flavors. They use only gold standard practices that deliver the purest end product.
That means in each bottle of Canvas you’ll find:
- No Fillers

Canvas 1839 Review
Be well. Do good. Sounds simple enough for Canvas 1839, the hip Austin brand that prides themselves on offering ‘CBD as uncompromising as you.’ We admit, we like their vibe. They speak a lot to the seemingly inescapable craziness of modern life and CBD as the natural antidote to make things a little better. The brand is off to a good start, but we’d like to see Canvas 1839 publish contaminants results online and ditch their ‘all-natural’ claims.
Canvas 1839 harnesses the eclectic Austin vibe in their branding focused on clean ingredients and impeccable sourcing. Their CSO Dr. Kyle Hammerick has some pretty impressive credentials with over 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical development, specializing in drug delivery systems. Dr. Hammerick’s expertise is partly what informs the brand’s tagline…
“Compromise-free CBD, steeped in science.”
Canvas 1839 currently offers just two CBD products: a full-spectrum CBD oil tincture and a relief cream made with CBD isolate. The first will set you back $50 for 300 mg and includes full-spectrum cannabidiol, MCT oil, sunflower lecithin, and stevia. Ipso facto, it’s healthy and actually tastes good.
The $65 CBD cream offered by Canvas 1839 irks us a bit. Yes, it has synthetic ingredients, but that’s not why we’re peeved.
We’re peeved because Canvas 1839 blatantly states on their homepage that they use ‘all-natural ingredients,’ but their cream contains propylene glycol, PEG-100 stearate, dimethicone, phenoxyethanol, and octyldodecanol.
They even continue to grandstand about their ingredient choices elsewhere on their site:
“We insist on organically farmed, all-natural ingredients without any chemicals, fillers, or artificial colors or flavors. No parabens, phthalates, or other known toxins.”
While one could argue the synthetics we listed above are not categorically toxins — like the totally harmless octyldodecanol — they’re certainly not natural. We won’t go too hard on brands that use them, provided they’re not making all-natural claims like in this instance.
At the end of the day, these ingredients are not deal-breakers. It’s the all-natural claim that needs to go.
Botanacor conducts the tests for Canvas 1839’s CBD oil products, but cannabinoid profiles are the only results posted online. To qualify for the Safety Badge, we’ll need to see contaminants results as well.
Canvas 1839 seems to have a solid direction, and we love their copy that speaks of intention and balance. They’re also genuinely committed to charity through their support of Ubuntu Life, SafeHaven, and more. Just a few tweaks should get them a higher rating.
Bottom Line – Canvas 1839 has great branding, but posting their contaminants results for their CBD products will help them go further.
